CS&CL Department: The Unstoppable Champions of SCT Sports Day 2025!
 

SCT College of Engineering witnessed an electrifying Sports Day on February 13, 2025, as students showcased their athletic prowess and team spirit in a series of thrilling competitions. The event was a grand success, bringing together participants from various departments, all competing with enthusiasm and determination for the coveted championship title.

The day began with an inspiring inaugural ceremony, featuring the march past and an address by the college principal, who emphasized the importance of sports in shaping a well-rounded individual. The college ground was abuzz with energy as students geared up for track and field events, team sports, and fun games that kept the spectators engaged throughout the day.

A wide range of events, including sprints, relays, long jump, high jump, shot put, and discus throw, tested the endurance and skills of the athletes. 

After a day filled with exhilarating performances and nail-biting finishes, the CS&CL (Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) department emerged as the overall champions, displaying exceptional teamwork, strategy, and resilience. Their consistent performance across multiple events earned them the top honors, making them the undisputed winners of the Sports Day 2025.

The event concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony, where winners were felicitated with medals, trophies, and certificates. The principal and faculty members lauded the efforts of all participants and organizers for making the event a resounding success. The celebrations ended on a high note, with students rejoicing in their achievements and looking forward to an even more competitive and exciting Sports Day next year.

With yet another successful edition of Sports Day, SCT College of Engineering continues to foster a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence, proving that the spirit of competition and camaraderie thrives within its campus.

Enhancing Teaching Excellence: Five-Day FDP on “IT Workshop”





In a bid to empower and equip faculty members with the latest advancements in the field of information technology, the Department of Computer Science organized a comprehensive Five-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "IT Workshop." This FDP was designed to familiarize faculty with the newly introduced theory and lab curriculum of GXESL208 IT WORKSHOP for the year 2024.


The workshop was an invaluable opportunity for faculty from both the Computer Science (CS) and Electronics and Communication (EC) departments to enhance their skills and knowledge. Delivered by the experienced lab staff and faculty of the CS Department, the sessions covered a range of topics aimed at bridging the gap between the current educational framework and emerging IT trends.

One of the highlights of the workshop was its hands-on approach. Faculty members were not just passive participants but actively engaged in the learning process.
